Easy Air Fryer Ravioli

Crispy, cheesy ravioli gets even better when cooked in an air fryer. Coating store-bought ravioli in flour, egg, and a parmesan-breadcrumb mix creates a crunchy exterior while the filling stays warm and melty. These are perfect as a quick appetizer or a simple weeknight dinner served with your favorite dipping sauce.

Why air fry ravioli?

  • Ready in under 20 minutes, making it a fast and satisfying option.
  • Works great as an appetizer or a fun main course.
  • Uses store-bought refrigerated ravioli, so preparation is easy and flexible—try different fillings for variety.

What You Need for Air Fryer Ravioli

  • Ravioli – Cheese ravioli is used here, but any refrigerated store-bought ravioli will work. This recipe is not intended for frozen ravioli unless thawed first.
  • Flour – Helps the egg wash adhere to the ravioli.
  • Egg – Binds the breadcrumbs to the ravioli.
  • Breadcrumbs and Parmesan – Breadcrumbs give crunch; grated Parmesan adds a salty, crispy finish.
  • Seasoning – Garlic powder and Italian seasoning add flavor. If your breadcrumbs are already seasoned, you can omit them.

How to Make Air Fryer Ravioli

Coat in flour

Start with thawed, refrigerated ravioli. Toss the ravioli in a shallow bowl of flour until lightly coated to help the egg stick.

Dredge in egg and breadcrumbs

Beat one large egg with a splash of water. Dip each floured ravioli in the egg, then press into the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture so it’s evenly coated.

Air fry

Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a thin coating of oil. Arrange the coated ravioli in a single layer with minimal overlap—do not overcrowd. Spray the top of the ravioli lightly with cooking spray.

Air fry at 375ºF for about 5 minutes, or until the ravioli are crisp and golden. Depending on your air fryer and batch size, you may need to repeat in multiple batches.

Serve

Serve warm with marinara or your preferred dipping sauce.

Sauce Suggestions

  • Marinara sauce
  • Vodka sauce
  • Nacho cheese sauce

Top Tips for Air Fryer Ravioli

Use store-bought ravioli for convenience. This method was tested with refrigerated ravioli. If you make fresh ravioli at home, refrigerate the raw pieces before breading and air frying the next day for best results.

Try different sauces. Marinara is classic, but a white sauce, olive oil with balsamic, or ranch can also pair well.

Avoid overcrowding the basket. Give each ravioli some space so they cook evenly and crisp properly.

FAQ

Can you cook frozen ravioli in an air fryer?

We recommend thawing frozen ravioli before air frying so the coating crisps evenly and the filling heats through.

Can you air fry ravioli without breadcrumbs?

Yes, but without breadcrumbs the ravioli won’t achieve the same crunchy texture. The breadcrumbs and Parmesan create the best crisp coating.

Storage

Allow the air-fried ravioli to cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispness.
