How to Get Free Flowering Shrubs or Trees
To claim your free shrubs or trees, visit the Arbor Day Foundation campaign page and enter your ZIP code. You do not need a member number—just click “begin.”
The site will prompt you for a donation. A minimum $10 contribution (one-time or monthly) qualifies you to select a free gift.
After entering your details, you’ll be able to choose a gift. The available option may vary by ZIP code, since the foundation matches plants to your growing region.
One example gift is the Summer Cutting Garden, which includes:
- 2 Asiatic lilies
- 7 mixed gladiolus
- 10 corn lilies
- 4 chinchincheeres
- 2 blazing stars
Alternatively, you may choose to have 10 trees planted on your behalf rather than receiving shrubs. Either option supports reforestation and habitat restoration.
After completing your donation and selection, your free gift will arrive by mail within a few weeks. Be sure to follow the planting and care instructions included with your bulbs, shrubs, or tree seedlings to ensure they establish successfully.
Note the donation deadline to receive the free gift: June 12, 2024. Make your contribution by that date to qualify.
