This past weekend I published a blog post about body shame that has sparked a lot of conversation across social media. The post grew out of a comment left on my Instagram account, but the intention was never to “get back” at anyone. Instead, I wanted to create space for honest conversation about body shame and body shaming—whether it’s something you’ve experienced, witnessed, or sometimes even done yourself.
The response has been powerful. People are taking the conversation into their lives—talking with kids, friends, coworkers, and family members—and that ripple matters. It’s also coming at a great time: free tickets for the 2017 Women’s Strength Summit are now available, and I’m excited about what this year’s event will offer.
The Summit centers on six themes designed to help you build strength in every area of life:
- Mindset
- Movement
- Nourishment
- Women’s health
- Empowerment
- Community
Each expert presentation dives into practical strategies to strengthen body, mind, and spirit so you can step beyond your comfort zone and live a life you truly love. The Summit is built to be actionable and encouraging, whether you’re just beginning your journey or already deep into your own work.
